Brothers and Bargains....

Orion loves Cyrus so much! He is always wanting to hold him and help out with everything. Cyrus is actually pretty good about being poked and kissed by Ori.

Whenever Orion gets back from an outing with his Abuela (Victor's mom), the first thing he does is run in and ask where Cyrus is.

Then he runs to Cyrus and says, "Ree-Ree, Ori come back to Dada's home!"

It's so funny, Orion can say "Cyrus" but he affectionately calls him "Ree-Ree".

Don't you love Cyrus's outfit in this picture? It has a little jacket that goes with it too. I got it on E-bay for 99 cents! Oh, how I love E-bay. I got Orion a pair of snowboots today for $1.99. I didn't think he was going to need snowboots....but it hasn't stopped snowing and all the stores clearance the snow stuff after Christmas, so I haven't found any. Anyway, the ones I got him are Spiderman, he'll love them......I sure hope they fit, his feet I swear grow a size a week! I feel like we're always buying him new shows!

Speaking of new shoes and bargains.....We were at Mervyn's the other day and they were having a super shoe clearance sell. They didn't have any shoes that are Orion's present size, but we bought him a pair of Spiderman shoes that are a few sizes too big (I'm thinking they'll fit this summer with the way he's been growing). The shoes were 65% off the SALE price! We only paid $6 for them! I had to hide them because Orion always want to wear them and he's like clunking around the house......

I love President Hinckley!

President Hinckley is a man that I wish I would have been able to meet in person. He was a very handsome grandpa and I always looked forward to his Conference talks. He was such a kind hearted, sweet man who wasn't afraid to stand up for his beliefs. I love you President Hinckley! I will miss you, but I know you are where you worked so hard to be....with your eternal companion again....

What's Lurking Beneath YOUR oven?

So after Orion kept bugging me that he drove his "La-ning Ka-chow" (Lightning McQueen) underneath the oven, I decided the pull the bottom drawer out to retrieve it.

I didn't take a picture of the underneath, because it's too embarrassing.

But here's what we found;

~Spiderman sunglasses

~Lightening McQueen spoon (I was wondering where this went to!)

~And the long lost letters to our Mega Blocks ABC Train (I've turned over the whole house the past few months for these dumb blocks! Yeah! Now our alphabet is again complete!)

Gross, huh?! It's seriously a WHOLE banana! Not just the peel....the whole darn thing! Anywho, no idea how it got there. At least it doesn't stink....

My New Best Friend

I've been bugging Victor since Cyrus was like 2 weeks old that he needs a swing. Cyrus, although a great baby, is the kind of kid that ALWAYS needs to be moving. It's hard for me to get things done around the house, like dishes and blogging and stuff, with a baby in hand. I guess Victor just thought I was being whiny until the other day when he got a taste of what I go through everyday. Victor has been sick with a cold this past week, so he has been grounded from holding Cyrus, which is probably harder on me than it is him.....so Tuesday night I was doing the dishes and Victor was watching ESPN and Cyrus was sitting in his car seat. So then Cyrus gets board and starts crying so Victor starts rocking the seat and he stops crying. Then while Victor is engrossed in sports, he forgets to rock the seat and Cyrus starts crying again. This continues until Victor gets frustrated and asks me for a favor, "Honey, can you run to Walmart and get Cyrus a swing?" I just laughed out loud.

So, we went to Walmart (it was 11 at night, mind you). And we got Cyrus a swing. We didn't have a great selection because it's a smaller Walmart, but they're the only place open at that hour, so I can't really complain. I did want to get a swing that I could plug into the wall to save on batteries, but like I said, small selection, and I didn't want to pay alot for a swing that Cyrus didn't even like. Anyway, we ended up the Rainforest Travel Swing. Which is good because a normal sized swing would overtake the apartment.

So, that said, he loves the swing, but I think I love it more.

My Aunt and Uncle got this way cute 'pram' (I guess is the correct word for it) for Cyrus. It's a little big but I bet it will fit him next winter too! I took him to a baby shower tonight all snuggled up in it and he slept the whole time! He loves it and it keeps him warm in this super duper cold weather (yahoo weather says it's 19 degrees!!)

Playing in the SNOW!

Orion has had cabin fever pretty much ever since it snowed. I'm a baby and hate the cold so I haven't taken the time to bundle him up so he could go play. So Chandler was nice enough to take Orion and my little brothers, Ryland and Bridger, outside to play. I only snuck out to take some pics :)

When I first walked outside Orion was crying because he thought he didn't need his gloves.....I put them back on and he was fine. I don't think he realized how cold the snow is.

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Hi ya'll! I haven't posted in awhile because it snowed like a buttload the other day and our internet hasn't been working right. So, a update on the fam.......it really is my birthday today :) haha! I'm 21 years young.....officially legal;) I'm at my mom's at the moment, but we celebrated at my dad's yesterday. My stepmom, Christine, made an awesome dinner and my fav. dessert, LEMON BARS! and some delicious marshmallow brownies. After we traveled to my mom's (where I still am) . Today, we went to church, then came home and made Mexican dinner and "Million Dollar Dessert".......I'll have to post the recipe later. Then we played a super fun round of Disney Scene It.....

So, that was my birthday in a nutshell.

Other fun things......

I finally got new batteries for my camera, so check back soon for more pics of my boys.

And the other night, I got to go on a "Girls Night Out" with my wannabe sister in law, Jaime, she's really my cousins wife. We went and saw 'Juno', which by the way I recommend to anyone who isn't offended by teenage vulgarity. I personally laughed the whole time, but I don't want you to get mad at me because I recommended it to you and you were offended.....like I said, it's quite vulgar.

Anyway.....I'm spent, I think I'm gonna hit the sack....goodnight all ya'lls.

I stole these pics from my friend April......(I hope you don't mind love). They are from The Lucky 7 annual Christmas party. Well, I guess it could just be considered an annual get together, since it tends to happen after Christmas.

It was a wonderful party/get together. We decided to bag presents this year because we're all poor, and just seeing each other all together is enough for us. We reminisced and played Apples to Apples, which I, of course won :) And pretty much just enjoyed each other's company.
