Christmas Pictures!

Santa came to my mom's house on Christmas Eve and brought the little boys kisses and hot chocolate. Orion was a little apprehensive about sitting on his lap though.

Cyrus getting his snowman shirt on Christmas morning
His face doesn't show it, but he loves this present (thanks Dad and Christine!) He loves to put it by our computer and use it while Victor or I are on it.
Thanks Meemaw (what he calls my mom) for the Helicopter!
Orion giving Cyrus kisses
I made Chicago Bears (Victor's football team) blankets for my little boys. This one is Cyrus's, Orion's is a little different.

Christmas Nativity

Every year since I can remember we have acted out the Nativity on the Monday (FHE) night before Christmas. When I was younger it was an extended family affair (Coree I meant to bring home from my moms the pic of when you were Mary, but I forgot :( ) But now that we're older and my mom has tons of kids :) we are able to do it ourselves. I think it was extra special this year because Christmas Eve just happened to be on a Monday.

Orion wouldn't let us take a picture of him in his cute little shepherd's outfit before he stripped out of it, but he was still cute with it half on. Plus he insisted that he wasn't a shepherd, he was Spiderman, and he kept going around and shooting his web at everyone :)

Oh, and my little 15 yr old brother, Chandler, who is newly obsessed with Guitar Hero, brought "the gift of rock" to baby Jesus, instead on muhr (sp??)....if you can't tell, he's holding the Guitar Hero guitar....lol......he really is the comic relief in our family, I don't know what we'd do without him!

Cyrus is here!!

So, I'm sure you all know that Cyrus was born on Monday :) I was induced at 9:30 in the morning and Cyrus made is appearance at noon :) Yes, he came VERY fast.....so fast that I didn't even have an epidural! I can't believe I survived. He wanted to come out so bad I was screaming at the nurses that I had to push....they insisted I wait for my Dr. but it wasn't happening. So the midwife on call ran in and said "I can catch if you need me to" so they laid me back and said to go ahead and push. I honestly pushed twice and he came into the world! It was more emotional that with Orion, maybe it's because I actually had to work so hard to get him here. I'm glad that I was able to experiance labor and delivery naturally. My plan was to go as long as I could without the epidural.....so I got to a 6 by myself before I asked for it and by the time I had sat up to get it I was freaking out that I had to push....

I hope that doesn't scare any of you to have kids. My sis in law was in the room when I had him and I think that's she's having 2nd thoughts on having kids :) It is SO worth it though you guys!

Orion is doing SO good. I miss him though, he's still with my inlaws, probably until tomorrow. He adores Cyrus and loves holding him and helping him get his binky.

I Officially Hate the Snow....

well, hate is a strong word. Snow is very pretty and I don't mind it as long as we don't have to drive in it. So anyway, we were coming home from WalMart last night and it wasn't snowing alot, but it was really cold so it made the roads very, very slick. The traffic was very stop and go on State Street and we hit a little slippery spot going like 2 miles an hour........so as Victor (he is an awesome snow driver) got control of the car (I totally thought we were going to get mauled by the semi to the side of us) we were hit from behind. We weren't hit very hard so the air bags didn't go off of anything, but it still was scary. Orion was such a big boy and was slightly concerned about being hit but didn't cry.

So we and the car that hit us pulled into an empty parking lot conveniently right there. Just as we were off State St. there was a pretty big head on collision. Ambulances and road flares the whole bit.....so I guess we were lucky to be out of the way.

There is almost no damage to our car, a few scratches where his license plate obviously hit. But it turns out that he know he was going to hit us because he was sliding too.

Haha, so it turns out that as they are chatting about insurance or what not, they figure out that the guys car (he was driving his girlfriends car) is at Steve's shop (where victor works) and has been there being worked on for awhile. So we made some new friends out of this frightening experience......

By Monday Everyone!!

I went to the Dr. yesterday (yeah, going to the Dr. once a week for a month is crazy stuff!) And everything is looking good. I am dilated to a 3....which I guess is progress :) But we scheduled an induction date for Monday if he hasn't been born by then! So, hopefully on Tuesday I won't be pregnant anymore!

So guys, anyday now!

Sleep.....

You'd think with this baby coming so soon that I'd be trying to get all the sleep I can......but the past week or so sleep has been impossible. It's not that I'm exhausted but can't find a comfortable posotion, I'm just flat out not tired. Maybe it's my body preparing itself to be up at random hours during the night.

On the other hand, Victor has been sleeping like a baby. He goes to sleep at like 9:30 and I can't wake him up for anything! Which makes my frightened that I'll have to drive myself to the hospital if I go into labor in the middle of the night :) So, I know I shouldn't be upset or anything, but I'm like jealous that he can sleep so peacefully and I cannot.

Anywho, I go to the Dr. tomorrow and maybe they'll decide to induce me and put me out of my misery.......don't get me wrong, being pregnant is wonderful to a point, but I'm ready to get this kids head out of my pelvis!

Well, good night ya'll.....well, I'm not going to sleep, I'm just going to continue watching my late night TV shows....

Waiting......

So, Cyrus is perfectly on track...not too big, not too little. I guess he's just in a weird position so it makes me seemingly measure big.

Hopefully he will come anyday now! I don't like waiting, I am very impatient!

I'll keep you all updated!

Baby Update!

So I can't believe how close I am! So here's the deal.....my Dr. is still saying that Cyrus is measuring big (yesterday he measured 40 weeks and I'm only almost 37). So we have an ultrasound scheduled for next week (Thursday) to see if he's actually as big as he's measuring or if he's just in a weird position to make him seem bigger. So if he's as big as he thinks he is, and his lungs are mature they will probably induce me. That's if he doesn't decide to come before then. I had Orion at 37 weeks.....and I will be 37 weeks on Sunday (Dec. 2nd).....so we'll just have to see what Cyrus wants to do! We can't wait to have him here!

Eclipse.....

sadly wasn't as good as the other two, but I still loved it. So, I didn't change my mind about Jacob......so you guys can fight over Edward without me. I guess I just wouldn't literally want to live forever....or only to be met by death by having my limbs torn off and burned......

I cried at the end when I read Edward's letter to Jacob.......I think I like Jacob more because he reminds me of my husband; tall, dark and handsome and literally naturally hot, and a huge smart alec ;)

New Moon.....

I finished New Moon last night and it was awesomely great! I must say that I think I like Jacob better than Edward. Maybe it's because I like tall, dark and handsome boys rather than the pretty boys.......

I am already half way through Eclipse and it too is wonderful!

LOGAN HIGH 3A STATE CHAMPS!

Logan High won! It was a great game that they had won from the beginning! Congrats Grizzlies!

Friday, November 16, 2007

It's about time!

I got an e-mail from the library today that says I can come pick up New Moon AND Eclipse that I have on hold! I am SO excited to finally read them!

Oh, and Alex's game is tonight, GOOD LUCK GRIZZLIES!

Logan High made it to STATE!

So, I've mentioned previously that my little brother Alex in on his high school's varsity football team.....they have had an AWESOME season, I think they only lost 2 games. On Thursday we got to go see them play at Rice Eccles Stadium (U of U) for their chance to play at the State Championship game this coming Friday! Anyway...they beat the Wasatch Wasps 48 - 24, and Alex got some good playing time and made some great tackles! I'm so proud of my little football playing bro! Here's a good action shot from Thursday's game (courtesy of my dad's super action shot camera)....oh, and the team they are playing for state is a tough one, it's one team that they lost to during regular season.....but it's a toss up because Judge (the team they will be playing) lost to Wasatch (whom Logan just beat) earlier this year. I guess it will be a close game!

This is Alex (#25) awesomely blocking his receiver (who obviously missed the ball, yeah!)

6 Fun Filled Facts!

Haha! Thanks for tagging me Erin!

1. I recently decided that crafts are too fun! Thanks to Coree :) I found the cutest ideas for some binky clips online and I can't wait to try them out! I wish I had a sewing machine (and one of these days I will steal my mom's) because I have this great pattern to make crib sheets, flannel sheets are the best for the winter time and you can only find them in stores in solid colors. So, I'm going to make my own :)

2. I too (like Coree) delight in dressing my child, soon to be children, in the cutest hippest things. However, it's a rare occasion that I get out of my pajamas before Victor come home at night time.

3. I am secretly afraid of having girl children :) Coming from a family with all boys I never really was a girly girl and to be honest I wouldn't know how to handle that. Especially when they get to be teenagers and if they want to be cheerleaders or something, not that I'll discourage it......I guess we will see. Maybe I'll end up not having any girls and that will mean Heavenly Father knew I wouldn't know how to take care of them :)

4. I am also secretly thinking of putting my children in cloth diapers :) They have some really cool ones and they are not all pins and plastic pants. It's not because I'm all environmentalist, although I guess it's nice to be helping our Earth. I am just sick of paying for diapers and the idea of having two in diapers is frightening :) I'll let you know how that goes....

5. Someday, after my kids are older and all in school, I want to to to college. In high school I starting working toward a nursing degree. My Jr. year I got my CNA (the lowest nursing degree) and my Sr. year I took a few college courses. I just don't want to go now because I know I don't want to be working....I'm a true believer of staying at home with your children.

6. I LOVE to read! I'll read just about anything I can get my hands on. And someday when we get a house I want to have my own library, like on Beauty and the Beast :)

He put his Tigger on when it got too cold, but we didn't go around to too many houses. Mostly just visited family and friends. Orion was wasted tired at the end of the night, seeing is we didn't get home 'til midnight :)

Memory Monday

I found a bunch of fun old Halloween pictures while here at my mom's house. However, she doesn't have a scanner, so I'll have to bring them home for next weeks memory. So I'll post some fun pictures my mom already has on here.

Saturday Conference

I love conference! It is very rejuvenating, almost like being able to go to Church in your PJ's, except with Prophets speaking.

I'm just getting sad that everyone is getting so old.....it's depressing, but from their stories and such I know that they have lived wonderful lives.....more than I think I could live in 100 lifetimes.

I must say that one of my favorite talks was Elder Wirthlin's, he was such a trooper to stay up there and finish what he had to say. And Elder Nelson was awesome to get up there and give him a hand.

What great men we have leading the Church!

Haha, it's late.....I'll recap conference later.

Shots

So, I got my Rhogam shot today (for my Rh- blood disease from Gramma Mac). I usually don't mind shots and needles, but this shot really hurts!!! It's one of those burning shots where the medicine burns going in. And then.....well, the shot has to go in the hip, I'm not sure why, but it feels like there is a huge bruise across my back now, I hope it goes away soon because it's very unpleasant.

I don't know if any of you know much about this disease. I knew what it was because of my Nursing classes in high school, but never really knew the extent of it. I didn't even know that I had it until I was pregnant with Orion. It's kind of a complicated thing.....I don't understand it quite all the way. But when I found out that I was Rh-, my dad told me what Gramma Mac had to go through before they invented this Rhogam shot. I guess a few of my dad's brothers and sisters (I can't remember whom) had to have blood transfusions as babies because they developed Rhesus diesease, that's caused by the mother if her Rh- blood has developed antibodies against Rh+ blood.......but just getting this shot at 28 weeks and another if the baby has Rh+ blood will make my blood not develop antibodies.......like I said confusing.

But my back still hurts......

Oh, I'm going to my mom's again for the week, so I'm not sure how many posts I will make.

My boy is sick......

So I'm skipping out on my memory for now. Orion hasn't been feeling well the past few days and this morning he woke up with hives all over his belly and neck. So I called to Dr. early this morning and they said it's probably just an allergic reaction to something and as long as he doesn't have a fever, he'll be fine. Just to take it easy and give him benadryl......I'm just glad it's not the flu.

I hope everyone is well and healthy!

Twilight........

was AMAZING!!! I finished it yesterday. Now I've been trying to get ahold of all my busy college friends to see if I can borrow the other books........the library's waiting list is honestly a year long!!!

Now I can say that I've jumped on the bandwagon and fallen in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen :)

Memory Monday

Last week was Victor and I's 5th Anniversery of the day we started "hanging out" (we were too young to be dating:))

Here's the oldest picture of us together( besides the football team picture in the yearbook), it was taken Halloween 2002, our Sophomore Year. It was the last year I went Trick-or-treating, I was 15, lol.

You'll All Be Excited.....

I remembered that I had a gift card to Deseret Book, so I went out and bought Twilight :) I just thought that you would be proud of me. I haven't started it yet, but I'll let know how I like it.

Halloween Preview

When Orion and I were at my mom's a few weeks ago, we went through her Halloween costumes......I knew she had good ones, so what's the use in going out and buying a new one :)? Orion wouldn't look at any of the other costumes after he spotted this Tigger one. He instantly stripped and insisted that he try it on. He jumped around for a few minutes and laughed because he had a tail and then wanted to get out because it was too hot (it will be perfect on Halloween though, it will get SO cold between now and then).

So here are some adorable pics of when he tried it on at home. In the second picture he got distracted mid-picture when the car commercial came on TV that sings the Wheels on the bus song :)

Memory Monday (Late!)

Yeah, this is a few days late.....oops :)

I'm trying to think of something I can post about that I already have pictures to go with.....I know I'm lazy, I just don't feel like scanning anything at the moment.

So.....my memory will be about my friends, which we refer to as "The Lucky 7". Most of us met towards the end of elementary school, but we didn't form our group until right after 8th grade (7th grade for 2 of the girls).

We consist of (oldest to youngest) Me, Kayleee (yes, there are 3 e's ;), April, Roux, Abby, Jessyka and M. Rachel.

We have been through so much together, good and bad. I must say that we do some very unconventional things such as; going on Jackalope hunts in the winter, sledding at the Jr. High (we like to use old carpet), taking old couches to the pit (grassy field by Roux and Jess's houses) and just sitting there and smiling when people point and laugh, attend Roux's family Halloween party religiously, make weird movies, adventures to Lake Powell, and much, much more!

Here are some pictures illustrating our lives together.....

Rachel's Quilt we made (we made everyone one on their 16th b-day, Rachel got hers on her 14th)

The Couch in the Pit (l to r; Jess, Me, Roux, Abby (on ground), Rachel, April and Kayleee)

Sleepover at the Sheridan Hotel, these are the quilts we made for eachother.

Jess's Birthday party one year (prob. 16th)

Our annual Christmas Gift exchange, I look so hot because I'm pregnant :)

This is the most recent picture I have. It was taken at Roux's Birthday party this last June. Out of the original 7 we are only missing Kaylee (who besides me is the only one married and lives in Idaho most of the time). The other girl in the picture is Marissa, we took her in in high school, so she wasn't around when we made our little group, but she really is part of the Lucky 7. We were lucky to have Rachel (in the sunglasses) here for this party because she's the one we're usually missing, she's been going to school/playing softball at a college in Kansas. And other than Kayleee in Idaho and Rachel in Kansas were all still in the Orem/Provo area still!! And yet, we only see eachother (as a group) like twice a year!!! Growing up is hard, but I'm glad to have such a good group of girls behind me watching my back. Love you girls!!!!!
