Finally Home!

Although our trip was amazingly fun, I am SO glad to be at home with my Victor (he couldn't come because of work). Here's roughly how our week went...

Tuesday: My mom picked Orion and I up at home and we drove and drove and drove until we got to the Ramada in Anaheim (which by the way, was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in). We got there kinda late and just unpacked the van and fell asleep.

Wednesday: We walked (yes, walked) to Disneyland. We rode many fun rides. I got blisters on my feet and we came back to our hotel at about 10:30 pm. I was glad Orion fell asleep on the walk home and didn't wake up when I layed him in bed so I could relax and take a bath.

Thursday: Walked to California Adventure, rode rides there and some more at Disneyland (park hopper ticket) Thankfully, my mom is a saint, so she traded me shoes so I didn't have to wear the same shoes i got blisters in. Orion, Chandler and I called it a day early and came back to the hotel at about 6:30 pm.

Friday: We rested at the hotel for awhile and then drove to Huntington Beach. We only stayed for like an hour, but it was enough, I love the beach, but I'm not too fond of the sand. Oh, and we went to Jack in the Box, which was SO exciting, because the closest one we have to us in Utah is in St. George. And it was awesomely delicious, even though I threw it up.

Saturday: We checked out of our hotel and headed to mt great grandma's 80th birthday party at my Aunt Vickie's in San Dimas. It was fun to see my grandparents and my great grandma. But I was sad that my Aunt Doodle didn't come up from Mesa and bring my favorite cousin Jared. After the party we left towards home............then the trip got crazy. We were all tired and ornery and so we fought most of the way. We stopped in Mesquite, Nevada for the night. Orion wouldn't got to sleep so I layed in bed and cried because I was so tired. I guess he eventually fell asleep, I don't know when because I fell asleep first.

Sunday: We finished our trip home......my tummy was sick of the car by then and I came home and puked.........the end...

We're Off!!

Well, I finished my book. It was grand, I won't do details because 1) I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone who wants to read it and 2) I don't have time......I have laundry to do and clothes to pack.

Orion and I are leaving for California tomorrow. We'll be back next week and then I will tell you all of our adventures.

Until then, everyone be safe!!

Harry Potter

I am overly excited about my book coming in the mail tomorrow. I never really liked reading until I secretly picked up the first HP book the summer before my sophomore year. I had made fun of all my friends for I guess, "jumping on the bandwagon" and reading the books. The only other long book I had read by myself was The Hobbit (a favorite of my dad's). I guess I started reading to escape life. I was going through a hard time in my life when I started reading that first book I realized how far away reading can take you. I read all of the Harry Potter books that summer, well the four that were out at the time and I loved it. I loved that I felt as if reality slipped away more everytime I turned a page. And now that the last book is coming out it's kind of bittersweet. I want to know if Harry can fight the evil and make the wizarding world safe again, but at the same time I don't want it to end......hopefully I will feel at peace at the end of this book so I won't have to throw it across the room like I did after I read the last two books :)

I don't call myself obsessed, I've never been to a midnight release party, (although my mom wanted to take me when the 5th came out, but we were too tired) I've never stood in line for opening day movie tickets, in fact, I haven't seen this last one that came out, and the 4th one I didn't see until it was released on DVD. And I can proudly say I've never dressed up as one of the characters for Halloween. I'm just a fan, who loves to escape to the wizarding world every now and then.

This may be my last blog until I get home from California on the 29th, we're going to Disneyland with my mom, stepdad and brothers. I promise to take lots of pictures!

Until next time...

Orion's 2nd Birthday

It was a very crazy and stressful week I must say. I wasn't going to throw a big party for Orion because I don't feel that great (as I've been complaining about for so long) and I didn't need the stress of planning a party......however, my inlaws insited of throwing a party (at our expence I must say). It turned out cute though, and he had fun with his little uncles and friends.

So hopefully I will get some well needed rest after all that party planning.........and on Saturday my book is coming in the mail!! Yes, I am obsessed with Harry Potter I will admit.

My boys are calling, I'll post pictures of the party later!!

Happy 4th of July!

Yesterday was pretty crazy.......1st we went to the Freedomfest Parade in Provo, Orion was good most of the time, but he got a little antsy towards the end and we left a little early, it was good though because we got to beat the traffic. Then we went to Jeff's house to go swimming, which was fun, except when Orion fell in the pool, I won't go into details, but he's fine, I'm a little tramatized though. I should have put sunblock on because now I am sunburned and I hate being sunburned, especially in my hair-part.......My boys just soak up that sun though, they both have golden brown tans now, I'm jealous.

A little later in the day we went out to eat with my older brother, Tim. It was nice to seen him, he's usually pretty busy with work and school and we don't see him too often. And...I also kept my food down :) Yeah, I know gross, but it's an unusual thing these days.

I guess the rest of the day was filled with fireworks, and keeping Orion away from them, he insisted they were not hot, but I wasn't about to let him find out for himself.....

Well, I guess that's it for now, Orion is screaming for pop.......I know bad momma, he's already addicted to the DP.....

Going Crazy

Orion is driving me nuts today! He's probably just starving for attention since I've been so sick and in bed. Poor kid, I feel bad, I just can't keep up with him right now, he is such a little firecracker! And I guess I have a Birthday Party to plan......Orion's turning 2 on Monday and I don't really have anything planned, I guess I'm just lucky that it's also my little brother's birthday and since he's only a few years older than Orion we can just have a joint thingy.......but my inlaws also want to have a pinata party, so I guess I have a little bit of planning to do. I'm just such a people pleaser that I don't know when to throw in the towel and say I can't do it any more......

Hopefully, I won't be as sick with this one as I was with Orion (6 months!).......

Sick and Tired......

at least I feel like I am more productive this pregnancy. I suppose it's because I actaully have to take care of myself in order to take care of my family. When I was pregnant with Orion I just laid in bed all day long and watched Law and Order reruns.

Even though I feel so sick I feel blessed to be pregnant again. I had a miscarriage last November and it was really hard for me. I even didn't want to try again for a long time, even though the Dr's told me I was healthy enough to. It just shows that everything does happen for a reason and that Heavenly Father is watching over us and knows what's best.

Orion is excited to be a big brother. Although I don't know if he really understands what that entitles. He loves to give my belly hugs and kisses and loves to watch the baby shows with me on TLC. He has also decided that it's going to be a girl. So I told him if he was going to have a sister her name was going to be Aurora, so now he calls my belly "Ah-ra-ra" it's really cute. He is such a sweetie!

Well, I'll try to keep this blog updated, try being the key word.......

Love you all!!
