It's a BOY!

If you couldn't tell from my ultrasound pics I posted yesterday, we are indeed having another boy! I am SO excited!! A girl would have been wonderful, but I haven't been around a girl baby in ages and I don't know the first thing about them!! After my app. I got to go on a fun little shopping spree. Even though I still have Orion's things from when he was born I needed a few warmer things. Most of Orion's baby close consist on tanks and shorts because he was born in July and we lived in his parents house with little air conditioning. So I got to go to KidtoKid (a fun second hand store down the street from my house) and get warm pj's and socks, etc. So, I think we're basically set. I did assemble the crib a few days ago and it didn't fit anywhere in our little apt. so we went to my in laws and dug out Orion's old bassinet and changing table.

We've been telling Orion he's going to have a little brother and I think he's starting to like the idea, he really wanted a sister. But he even told me this morning he was going to share his Cars (from the movie Cars) with his brother, except for his Mack truck.

Ok, ok, names, I know. We've had one picked out for awhile. His name is going to be Cyrus. We're unsure about a middle name, but will likely go with Manuel (Victor's middle name).

So next month I get to have my Rhogam shot (any other McMullin girls inherit the Rh- disease from Grandma Mac??? I'm curious to know.) I'm not so excited about the shot, but after hearing from my dad what they had to do back in the day, I'm glad for new medical advances.

A New Face In The Family.....

My Little Brother Alex

This is the only picture I could find of my little football playing brother, Alex. I know I have a picture from Prom of him and his girlfriend, Tamires (pronounced Tameetees, she's Brazilian and SO beautiful) I couldn't find it though.

Alex is a Senior this year and plays cornerback for the Logan High Grizzlies, so far they are 2-0 and ranked #1 in 3A. I haven't been to one of his games yet, but I will post pics when I do. Until then you can enjoy this picture my friend Roo took of him at Orion's party in July.

Football Season is FINALLY here!!

We got to go to our first football game of the season yesterday! It was so exciting!! It was my little brother Chandler's game in Park City. They lost pretty bad but it was still fun to go and watch him play, and he made a pretty cool tackle!

My Booger

So, I was on the computer...... blogging, and not paying attention to my child (that by the way get's into everything!!) And the apartment was too quiet so I called for him and he didnt' answer, so either he was being naughty or he locked himself in my closet again. So I found him.....covered in Balmex. And the first thing he says is, "My butt" (yes, my child knows some vulgar words). He's had a diaper rash and I've been putting the Aquaphor lotion on it, so I let him use it as regular lotion sometimes. And I just bought some Balmex because it was cheaper.....he didn't realize that it's not lotion........I thought it was funny that he said he needed it for his butt, but didn't put any there......as you can see he put it everywhere else......so I learned my lesson not to leave the Balmex around.

Pooped.....

I have been SO tired lately! We went to my mother-in-law's work party today and I could barely keep my eyes open. I'm glad that Victor's brother Richard was there to chase Orion for me, because I honestly would have gone crazy! But Orion had fun and I'm glad, because it made him tired and he's actually taking a nap at a decent time today (as opposed to 5 pm everyday lately!!) My Little Boy.....

Orion is such a little handful these days. He gets into EVERYTHING! However, he is still such a joy to me and I am proud to call him mine. I took some pictures of him this morning so I could have some recent pics on here, but he's so silly that he insists on pulling a diffrent face in each picture as you will see below......

What's new......

I haven't written a blog for awhile because I've been rearranging our small apartment in preperation for new baby. I know it's still a little early to be 'nesting'.......but I feel like it I don't get things ready now, I will be stressed about it later. So far everything has gone smoothly in changing rooms and such, except for our little interuption the other day with the ants in our bathroom. I just need to decide if I want to put up the big crib......which means I have to buy a new crib mattress because the one we have is on Orion's bed. Anywho, I'm rambling......

So.... I am SO excited for my doctor's app. coming up on the 30th!! They will be doing an ultrasound to find out what we're having.....and how many we're having :) I'm kidding, well kind of. At my last app. the dr. said my uterus is measuring about 4-6 weeks larger than it should be. However I had an ultrasound at about 9 weeks that only showed one baby......granted it was very hard to see. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Rain

Rain is wonderful.......it rained today for the first time in months. It was complete with loud booming thunder......there are few things better than rain in the summertime. Hurray for rain!
