Kinda Geeky...

I ordered this yesterday...it's a required book for my American Heritage class. I really wanted this edition, but the cheapest place I could find it was SeagullBook.com and they were out of stock. So I put my name on the waiting list (thinking it would be awhile) and I went ahead and ordered the regular version for $3.75 (I <3 Amazon.com/Amazon Prime).

Soon after I received my copy I was at Deseret Book and looked around to see if they had the edition I originally wanted. I had never seen it in real life and I was surprised to see it was GIGANTIC. Probably something I wouldn't bring with me anywhere. Rough dimensions are 13" by 10"!!! Needless to say, I was glad I ordered the other one for my class. But it was amazing! The pictures are beautiful and in it are tons of removable letters, etc. made to look like originals. And I wanted it. Not for school. Just for me.

So, yesterday I got an e-mail from Seagull Book saying that they had 60 copies available! I looked online and it was for sure in stock. List price: $65.00. Seagull Price: $17.76 (seriously, Seagull Book you are humorous).

So, I bought it. And it will be here tomorrow! My dad got one too. And my Aunt Candi. You should too before they run out.

A little giddy...

This better be freaking amazing. At least they picked a good actress to play Katniss. Teeny boppers and Kristin Stewart/Robert Pattinson ruined the Twilight series for me (not just me according to the quantities I see of the books at DI and Savers).

I may just be crazy...

I just signed up for another class for this Fall....I got my Pell Grant acceptance papers and I wanted to be able to receive my full grant. Since you have to be enrolled full time (at least 12 cr) to get the full grant, I took the plunge and signed up for one more class.

I'll probably be kicking myself in the Fall. But there are plenty of moms that go to school full time, right? And some of them even work full time. I guess at least I don't have to worry about that.

My little brother got his mission call yesterday!!! He will be serving in the Trujillo, Peru Mission and will report to the MTC on August 3rd!
