This is another book from the BBC booklist. I've been reading a lot of books from this list this summer. Most I liked , some I could barely get through (Winnie the Pooh, ugh). I wonder what it is that makes a classic, "classic". The thing I love about this list is that the books weren't all written over a hundred years ago. Many of the books were written in the last decade or so. Proof that classics are still being written :)
My favorite book I read from the list so far is called A Town Like Alice and my least favorite probably Winnie the Pooh....sorry to his fans. I just felt that each chapter should have just been a childrens picture book....not a chapter book. It probably didn't help that I read it in one sitting.
